Kosher app for iPhone and iPad
We have over 2,000 restaurants in the database, all text is in English - we hope our Hebrew & Jewish friends are okay with that until we have time to translate. We expect users of this application to submit new restaurants and modify current restaurants. So we expect the database to grow significantly over time. Please contribute and this will be the best kosher database in the world. Adding/Editing and reviewing restaurants features are in version 2.0. So make sure to add/edit and review your favorite places!
Travel and looking for a kosher restaurant to eat at but want to find the restaurant that is nearby? Now you can, with this Jewish Kosher app for the iPhone or iPod Touch. The Kosher iPhone application will look up the nearest kosher place to eat from your current location, using the iPhones GPS features. If you do not have GPS or localization on, you can type in a location or a name and we will show you kosher restaurants in that location. In addition, we added a kosher symbols database so that you can quickly look up what kosher symbols are backed by which organizations or Rabbi. Finally, you also have the food blessings and prayers in Hebrew at your finger tips for Ashkenaz, Sefard, Edot Mizrach and Chabad.

Been waiting for an application like this for ages. Clean UI. Works fast. Very accurate. Worth every penny and then some. This developer always gets it right.

You are too generous on your pricing. All iphone users paid $200-$300 for their phone and crazy monthly bills. No one should complain about the pricing of any rustybrick apps.
People should actually try to use your company Rusty Brick for web design, etc. to give you more business.

This is great for anyone who wants all the benefits of eating Kosher- right in ur pocket. Well Done! The steak that is ;)
For those of us who need to find Kosher restaurants, it is a struggle to use the commonly available "Find a restaurant" tools. That is where Kosher will really shine for us. It has a database that is fairly complete and will get better, also RustyBrick is the type of developer which does not sit idle after developing an initial app. They are already working on adding new features. I know because I have had conversations with them and they plan on doing some great stuff with this product. For 1.99 it is a bargain and an extremely useful app for people who keep Kosher. It has some issues, which RustyBrick knows about, but I imagine will be fixing sooner rather than later. Also, those problems are relatively minor compared to the benefit of the application.
OK, knowing that this will only get better is amazing! Here are some ways to make it get better:
1. Filter the restaurants that are "around me". This way I can choose meat/dairy/veg quickly.
2. Combine filters. I would like to see the closest meat restaurants that have 5 stars. (being able to choose 3 or more stars is also cool).
3. Once a restaurant is chosen, be able to quickly add that restaurant into your contacts.
4. Have a "get directions" option to the restaurant.
Really, these are just options that will only enhance an awesome program. Keep up the great work.

Some bad moments
The program itself is good but the restaurant database is useless. All the nice programing is a waste if the data is unacurate and incompleate. This application shoul be free if the developer pretends that we do his work to compleate and update the database.
Its an ok app. But not worth $5. Not enough info on the Kosher symbols or symbols at all. Maybe it will get better.
Im sitting in a Kosher restaurant in Les Vegas that has been around for years and it does not show up on the application. Also I just came back from Buenos Aires where I found many restaurants not listed. When I first used this application it was much better and I suspect it was using a different data provider. Please when you charge and promote a service you have a resposibility to provide the service ad promoted otherwise you are cheating( stealing) from people. At least warn people that you do not have an up to date database.
It crashes when I try to close a restaurant and you guys should sync restaurant with Kosher websites just incase your missing any
Shows every restaurant in the area, Kosher, non Kosher. You can find same places with your GPS. Waisted money!!!
After updating to iOs 8 the app crashes and doesnt load! Pls update asap!
